Weekly classes taught by Nancy McGuckin & Cat Boss. Monday afternoons 4pm - 6pm. Ages 9-15

Let your kids play with dirt in a safe, fun environment! This class is a hybrid hand-building and throwing class that introduces the basic concepts of hand-building techniques and throwing clay on the potter’s wheel. The teachers will lead your child through various projects each week, as well as free projects of your child's choice. Projects may include bowls, cups, hand-built boxes, and vases. Forming and surface decoration will be covered as well as basic glazing.

No previous experience in clay is needed for this class.

Class fee includes:
Clay (up to 25 pounds), access to basic pottery tools, and a wide variety of glazes
Firing services for up to 25 pounds of clay

Additional costs:
Extra clay is available for purchase starting at $18 per 25 pounds
Firing fees (beyond the class allotment) are $1 per pound
Extensions to class sessions may be purchased
